Herring Ridge offers a variety of single day programs. These programs are a great way to enhance classroom learning and engage students in hands-on learning about the natural world.
Water Science - Water Quality, Wetland Ecology, and Aquatic Animals
Forest Ecology - Animals and their Environment, Wonderful Trees, and Soil Study
People and the Land - Living on the Land: A Step Back in Time, Growing Gold, and Resource Rescue
Adventure Activities - Climbing Wall, Canoeing, Hiking, Mountain Biking and Target Sports
Research Science - Middle and High school students will be conducting several research projects on property. These projects may include soil, air and water quality studies, as well as butterfly monitoring in fall and amphibian and reptile monitoring in spring. Students have the opportunity to get involved in these research studies while learning valuable science skills!
